Morning stretch.

Another Saturday morning with the bonus of a free outdoor yoga class. I’ve been very excited to discover this, and hope to continue.

Taking that step to enjoy myself.

For those that don’t know, down dog is a yoga pose in which you are shaped like an upside down V with your rear-end high in the air, looking between your legs. (I think that gives a visual). I had to laugh as when we got into this position, I realized I aligned myself with this wonderful view of a buffalo’s butt between my legs. At least I got an extra smile each time I got into this pose.

Takes awhile to see it. I know what it is, but I still keep seeing an upside down elephant’s head.

An “imperfect” leaf joined me on my mat. He wanted to get a view of the buffalo’s backside also. He was a quiet little fella, but seemed to enjoy his yoga class too. Enough of him was there to identify that he is a big-tooth aspen. That name comes from the appearance of coarse teeth on the edges of the leaves.

Symbolizes eloquence and anti-theft.

Afterwards I got a glimpse of some beautiful, wild sunflowers. Blooming common sunflowers always face east, which all of these were following that rule.

Symbolizes silent love, admiration, and loyalty.

After class, was able to sip on hot cup of coffee. All in all, it was a pretty perfect Saturday morning.
