Slowly increasing my jogs. I find it ridiculous how out of shape you can become when you sit on the couch for a little longer than you probably should.
Beautiful evening here. Sunny with temps around 80, and no humidity. Pretty great first day of September.
Towards the end of the run, this fire hydrant jumped out at me, so I decided to take its picture. I wanted to learn something about fire hydrants after I finished, and a quick internet search revealed that the colors of the hydrants actually mean something. Maybe this is common knowledge, but I missed this during the Firetrucks lecture in preschool. If I’m reading the guidelines correctly, then this orange hydrant has a range of 500-999 gallons per minute. This helps firefighters determine the appropriate hose setup and pump operations for that hydrant. I’ll likely never look at a fire hydrant the same.
