It was on!

I was happy that the weather cooperated for some outdoor yoga today. Started with 3 layers, then went to 2, then finished with a t-shirt. It was easy to warm the body up with the little practice. The cool breeze that gave a shiver at 9:00 a.m. was a relief to feel about a half an hour later.

No matter what I do now for the weekend, I feel that it’s off to a good start. Sunshine. Fresh air. A little muscle soreness. A little calmness. All things that bring a smile.

On the drive to yoga, I listen to an interview with one of the founders of the Wu-Tang Clan. Their roots came from Staten Island. Wu-Tang’s accolades include being described as “the No. 1 greatest hip hop group of all time,” “the best rap group ever,” and many feel their debut album in 1993 is one of greatest hip hop albums ever. Like most things when people mention greatest of all time, there’s always an argument or differing opinions, but to even be considered in those arguments means you accomplished something pretty significant. I may not rock the Wu-Tang very often on my playlist these days, but I appreciate what they’ve done in the music industry.

Their second album was the only one I owned, back as a junior in high school.

Yoga and Wu-Tang Clan, a perfect combination for the start of my Saturday.
