Tomorrow is the official start of a 16 week training program for a half-ironman triathlon. My hope is the next 111 days will get my body and mind in a good place. A goal. I’ll be going on this journey with a friend, so lots of encouraging will be going back and forth I’m sure.
In the last 2 weeks, I’ve enjoyed getting back to yoga class, as COVID threw a wrench in that for the past year. This has included yoga in the park being back on. I loved finding this last summer.

I was able to cross off training for all 3 disciplines this weekend (swim, bike, run). My backside will be sore tomorrow, as I got my bike out for the first time. I’m likely underestimating my current fitness level, but I’ve paid my fee, so there’s no turning back.

My hope is to be outdoors more, look around more, breathe more.
Field bindweed flanked the road on both sides as a slowly jogged by. The trumpet-shaped flowers were celebrating me getting out in the sun.

Training will official start tomorrow. Good luck to me and my friend.
